Today we take a look at Sonic Adventure DX! This is the GameCube version of the game running on the softmodded WiiU. The Nintendo GameCube doesn’t output via HDMI natively and even though the Wii plays all GameCube games via backward compatibilty, it also doesn’t natively support HDMI out. The solution for this is a softmodded WiiU running the game at a native 480p and then using an mClassic HDMI add-on to upscale to 1080p. You can see in the comparison video the difference mClassic makes for these older games.
An updated version of the Sega Dreamcast hit Sonic Adventure, the first appearance of Sonic and the crew in a full 3D action title.
Once again Sonic is up against Dr. Eggman, who had teamed up with Chaos for the ultimate opportunity to take over the world. Tails, Knuckles and Amy join in on the action, along with a host of new characters and enemies.
The GameCube version of Sonic Adventure DX includes a brand new mission mode, a new Chaos Garden link up mode to the Game Boy Advance, and a host of mini-games including appearances of classic Game Gear Sonic adventures such as Tails’ Skypatrol.
